Britney Spears will not be performing at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, Ryan Seacrest reported on “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” on Monday morning.

Quoting Spears’s manager, Larry Rudolph, Seacrest said, “Britney Spears will not be performing at the VMAs this year. I’m telling you officially and unequivocally.”

According to Seacrest, Rudolph told him that Spears was “in the middle of recording her next album, which is going amazingly well, and was never supposed to perform at the show.”

Performance rumors arose after Spears appeared in promotional spots for the awards show with host Russell Brand. Her hairstylist Kim Vo also told E! that he was planning three hairstyles for the pop star for the Sept. 7 show, one for the red carpet, one for the show itself, and a third being something “quintessential Britney” for a performance.

Spears, the Susan Lucci of the “VMAs,” is up for three awards for her video “Piece of Me.” A win in any category would be her first Moonman after 16 nominations in previous years, according to MTV.

Though she won’t be singing at the “VMAs,” fans hoping to see Spears on stage again still can — thanks to Madonna. As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Spears filmed a video cameo in July for the Material Girl’s current “Sticky & Sweet” tour.

In footage appearing on YouTube, Spears’s cameo appears on three screens, switching between scenes of Spears in a grey hoodie trapped in an elevator and close-up shots of her in dark sunglasses, singing along with the lines “Express yourself, don’t repress yourself” during Madonna’s “Human Nature.”

Kim Kardashian didn’t “break a leg,” but she did hurt her foot.

The reality star, who was announced Monday morning to be a competitor on the seventh season of the hit ABC show “Dancing With The Stars,” told “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” that she cut her foot on Sunday night.

“We were in the hotel and I cut my foot on a glass mirrored table that was broken and jagged and I didn’t see the edge. It was, like, blood everywhere,” she said.

Following the injury, Kardashian was rushed to the emergency room.

“I had to call my (”Dancing With The Stars”) partner Mark. I feel so bad, I woke him up,” Kardashian told Seacrest. “I was like, ‘You’re going to wake up and you’re going to hear all these things, but we’re going to get through this.’”

Kardashian said she “was crying all night,” but that will not jeopardize her participation on “Dancing.”

“This is a challenge, and we’ll get through this,” she said.

Who knows why Shauna Sand decided to go to Miami this weekend. If I had to guess, I’d say she went there to remind us of her timeless beauty. I must admit, sometimes I take it for granted.

Hollywood actress Jennifer Garner has finally confirmed that she is pregnant and expecting her second child with husband Ben Affleck.

It has long been rumored that the ‘Alias’ actress is expecting her second child with husband Affleck. Though some close friends talked about her swollen belly, the couple had so far refused to comment.

“Access Hollywood” spotted Garner at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles on Wednesday, where she was assuming the hosting duties for the 10th anniversary celebration for Baby Einstein, a series of books, toys and DVDs that help parents interact with their children.

Jennifer confirmed to AH’s Tony Potts that that she and her screenwriter, director and actor hubby, Ben, are expecting their second child together. In response to a query whether she plans on more children, she smiled coyly and said, “Yeah, next year, I think I might have one.”

She said “Thank you,” when Potts congratulated her adding tat she and Affleck are “so excited, obviously. We’ve been through it before. It’s all good, it’s great. I’m really excited.”

The Emmy-nominated and Golden Globe- and SAG Award-winning actress however did not reveal when she’s due or if the baby’s a boy or a girl.

Garner even joked about speculation that’s been happening in the past weeks.
“It always makes me laugh when people say ‘Is she? Isn’t she?’ It’s like eventually you will know, so just chill out for a minute,” she said.
Victor Garber, who starred alongside Jennifer in ‘Alias’, last month had revealed that the actress is pregnant.

Garner and Ben, both 36, tied the knot in June 2005 and have a daughter named Violet, who was born in December 2005.

Violet Affleck was voted cutest celebrity baby in a Parade.com Pop-Culture Poll in 2007. She grabbed the title after beating out the likes of A-list offspring such as Suri Cruise, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt and Dannielynn Smith. The Pop-Culture Poll was conducted online from November through December 2007, with a sample of more than 2000 respondents.

The celebrity couple reportedly has bought a $16 million house in Los Angeles. According to the reports surfaced early this month, the seven-bedroom, traditional-style home is in Brentwood and not far from where Ricki Lake and Tobey Maguire live.

In June, reports about their split-up made rounds on the net, which later were abruptly denied by Garner’s publicist, who called the reports “100 percent completely fabricated.”

Actress Alicia Silverstone has teamed up with Norfolk based animal rights group PETA.

Silverstone will be the latest starlet to say she’d rather go naked than wear fur. That’s been an ongoing campaign for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

She’s appearing in a TV commercial in Houston, explaining why she believes a vegetarian diet is healthier.

PETA picked Houston because it ranks high on lists of cities with unhealthy eating habits.
